MYERSVILLE, Md. -
There is a tremendous outpouring of grief in Myersville, Maryland after a family loses two of their young daughters in a house fire.
Jack Lillard and his eight year old daughter Morgan are still hospitalized. His wife Chrissi and seven month old Sadie were treated and released.
Neighbors have been stopping by--leaving teddy bears and balloons to honor the two sisters who died here, 6 year old Sophie and 3 year old Madigan.
"Great family unfortunately.. tragic tragic," Vicki Younger says.
Younger, who met Chrissi in a mom's group, is spearheading fundraising efforts to help replace some of what was lost.
"This mom's group is so tight, if someone needs us, we all come together," Younger says.
Younger has gotten the Chick-Fil-A at 5501 Urbana Pike in Frederick to host a huge fundraiser next Tuesday between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Twenty five percent of proceeds will be donated to the family. They'll also be taking donations.
A group Chrissi belonged to called Fit For Life Bootcamp has started an online fundraising drive at giveforward.com.
Donations topped $25,000 in less than 24 hours.
Frederick County Bank has set up the Lillard Family Recovery Fund. Any branch can accept donations.
