Help is pouring into Gordon County in the wake of Wednesday's devastating tornado. Hundreds of volunteers are helping in the most basic ways, providing food, and blankets and shelter.
Dozens of volunteers walked door to door in the dark on Friday, delivering hot meals and kind words to victims of the twister.
"My family and my property was spared, so I'm just trying to give back a little bit," said Judy Rapp.
Rapp is a teacher in Gordon County. He said that she worries about her students and their families.
"The people just don't have any food, don't have any power. So they just need something warm before they go to bed tonight," Rapp said.
The meals were prepared in the local high school cafeteria by local church members. They said they'll be working through the weekend ensuring that the storm victims continue to have food.
