We're back to take a look the new and noteworthy in the week ahead. It's your Capital Rundown for the week of February 4, 2013.

On Monday, Kathleen Sebelius, the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, delivers the opening address of the National Health Policy Conference. That is at 9 a.m. and is being held at the Grand Hyatt in Washington.

Tuesday, February 5, the House on Veterans Affairs Committee will hold hearings on the effectiveness of the 100 percent temporary disability rating for veterans. That's at 2 p.m. in the Cannon Building's Room 334.

On Wednesday, February 6, Division Commanders from National Guards around the nation come to Washington for the annual session of the National Guard Advisory Council. That begins at 6 p.m. at the National Guard Memorial Building on Massachusetts Avenue.

Thursday, February 7, the Senate Intelligence Committee will hold confirmation hearings on John Brennan to be the next director of the CIA. That begins at 2:30 p.m. in Room 216 of the Hart Building.

And on Friday, February 8, former U.S. Commander in Afghanistan, retired General Stanley McCrystal, will address the Aspen Institute regarding his memoir on the Afghanistan War and his removal by President Barack Obama. The Aspen Institute is at 1 Dupont Circle.
