WASHINGTON -
Lawyers in a lawsuit surrounding the mass arrests of demonstrators have submitted a series of topics they think D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier should be questioned about.
The lawyers submitted the areas for questioning in a court filing this week. The case concerns the arrests of hundreds of demonstrators outside the 2002 meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
Lawyers for the plaintiffs have raised allegations of evidence tampering. Several high-ranking police officials have already testified in ongoing court hearings.
The lawyers say their list of questions is intended to be "relevant and helpful" to U.S. Magistrate Judge John Facciola, who is serving as a special master in the case.
