2/6: Leasing Agent

We are currently seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to join our team at the Shire Management Group.

Job Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and doors

• Establish and maintain a rapport with clients (prospective and current residents)

• Conduct Property Tours

• Follow up with prospective and current residents. This is extremely important and it must be done consistently (phone calls, letters, email etc.)

• Uses knowledge of property and community to overcome prospect objections

• Obtain an acceptable closing ratio

• Submit monthly leasing progress reports

• Application processing to a certain degree

• Lease preparation

• Responsible for new deals, renewals, extensions, and transfers

• Prepare move in material

• Deliveries - driving to properties, walking, and walking up/down stairs

• Generate work orders

• Complete monthly market surveys

• Assist with Customer Duties when necessary

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in leasing

• Valid Driver's license and insurance, no gas reimbursement; usage of vehicle during shift to go to property to property

• 40 hours a week including working every Saturday 8:30-5 and four days during the week; eight hour days with two days off

• Local candidates preferred

• Leasing license a plus

• Fair Housing Certified

• Bilingual a plus

• Good computer and written skills

• Legible handwriting

• Requires a lot of walking, stairs, etc.

• Professional image

• Good Customer Service skills

• Positive attitude

• Great phone adequate

• This position requires a great amount of paperwork, therefore an eye for detail is a must

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with multi tasking skills

• Requires time management skills in order to use time effectively

• Must have ability to work unsupervised and must be self motivated

• Takes instructions from Supervisors

Compensation and Benefits:

• Compensation is commensurate with experience

• Benefits package available

• Leasing agent is eligible for commission/bonus
