JAKARTA, Indonesia -

A 17-year-old boxer in Indonesian died after suffering a brain haemorrhage during a fight.

A report on bangkokpost.com says Tubagus Sakti was hospitalized following his eighth round TKO defeat to Ical Tobida in Jakarta on Sunday.

He suffered convulsions and was later declared dead of a brain haemorrhage.

Video of the fight shows Sakti raising both hands to show he had given up in the eighth round of the boxing match.

The referee, however, was unable to stop the fight before Tobida landed several unblocked punches.
