Person of Interest #2 description: Wearing a black top and braids pinned up (Metropolitan Police Department)
There are new clues in a D.C. nightclub shooting. A gunman opened fire on the crowd at DC Soundstage along Benning Road in Northeast D.C. on Saturday, hitting five people.
Police are asking for help from the public as they search for the suspect and two others. They have released images of two persons of interest.
Investigators say the young men walked into the venue with the suspect just before closing time. There was a private party going on, but it does not appear they knew anyone inside.
A fight unfolded and one of the young men was injured. They headed outside, but then the suspect reentered the establishment and opened fire. Four men and a woman were shot. All are expected to recover.
While the suspect was not captured on camera, police released the following description of him: 20- to 25-year-old black male, 5'11" to 6' feet tall, with shoulder-length dreads and a full beard. Witnesses say he used a silver gun, possibly a revolver.
The two people of interest are described by police as:
Male #1: wearing no shirt, blue jeans, black boxers and a dark skullcap.
Male #2: wearing a black top and braids pinned up.
