PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott man who violated terms of his lifetime sex offender probation has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in northern Arizona.
William Franklin Ely was indicted in 1994 on five counts related to child molestation and pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted child molestation.
He was sentenced to 15 years in prison followed by lifetime probation, during which he wasn't to have contact with anyone under age 18 unless approved by his probation officer.
Ely was released from prison in 2004.
The Daily Courier (http://bit.ly/11bytOC) says Ely was arrested in October for allegedly having contact with juveniles while working as a handyman last May and June.
The Yavapai County Adult Probation Division petitioned a Superior Court judge to revoke Ely's probation and send him to prison.
