WASHINGTON -

Metropolitan police have announced the arrest late Friday of a suspect in the murder of a Maryland teenager.

21-year-old Alexander Buckley of Northwest Washington is charged with First Degree Felony Murder in the shooting death of 18-year-old Siohban Nicole Lee of Takoma Park.

Police say the two were acquaintances.

Lee was a 2012 graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring.

Sources say she was shot in the head.

Her body was found on the sidewalk next to a bus stop at 5th and Nicholson Streets in Northwest D.C.

Police say a 911 call brought them to the crime scene just after 3 a.m.

As far as a motive behind the killing, neither police nor the victim's family is offering any theories.

The victim's family tells FOX 5 News they are not sure who Lee was with on Thursday night or where she was going.

Her friends are taking to Twitter to remember Siohban Lee, saying among other things that they can't believe the news and that she will be sorely missed.
