Father Of Abducted Child Fails To Pass Lie Detector Test

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

FOX 29 has learned the father of the 5-year-old girl who was abducted failed to pass a polygraph test.

The news comes a day after FOX 29 learned the mother of the girl did pass her polygraph test.

Investigators are not saying what the results of the polygraph tests mean for their case.

On Thursday afternoon, Mayor Michael Nutter announced the city was adding $10,000 to the reward for an arrest and conviction of those responsible for her abduction. With the added amount, the reward has now grown to $30,000.

Police say they still no not have any suspects.

The missing 5-year-old was taken from her Bryant Elementary School classroom in West Philly earlier this month. The girl was discovered safe the morning after hiding underneath a slide at an Upper Darby park.

Police would not elaborate on what happened to the girl from the time she was taken out of her classroom to the time she was found.

On Wednesday, FOX 29 learned the mother of the girl was given a polygraph test and passed. Police also announced they were collecting new surveillance video as they search for two suspects they believe to be involved.
