Police Ask Residents To Check Bank Accounts After 'Skimming' Incident

Posted: Updated:
MEDFORD, N.J. -

Police in Medford Township are asking residents to keep a close eye on their bank accounts after a skimming device was installed on a MAC machine.

Police say skimming is the use of an electronic device that can record a user's bank account information and the corresponding PIN. The device is usually undetectable by ATM uses.

According to police, TD Bank employees said they were working on identifying and notifying potential account holders whose information was compromised.

Police ask that anyone who has come across unauthorized transactions on their bank accounts file reports with both the bank and local police.
