Parts of Long Island get three inches of snow

UPTON, N.Y. (AP) - Parts of Long Island got more than three inches of snow late Monday.

Strong winds and frigid temperatures are expected on Tuesday.

Meteorologists say Brookhaven and southern and eastern communities received over three inches of snow.

Cold temperatures are expected for the rest of the week.
