The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WATCH for much of the D.C. Region from Thursday afternoon to late Thursday night.
According to the National Weather Service, accumulation of two to four inches is possible.
A mix of rain and snow is expected in the morning, then changing to snow during the afternoon. Periods of snow are possible in the late afternoon and evening. Snow may be locally heavy at times, especially south of Washington D.C. Snow will come to an end Thursday night.
Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 30s with winds north 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
Roads may become snow covered, especially during the evening rush hour.
A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel.
