Yankees to play exhibition game at West Point

The New York Yankees will take on cadets from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., in an exhibition game this spring, MLB.com reported.

The Bombers will play Army at 2 p.m. on March 30, 2013, Major League Baseball announced.

West Point and the Yankees have had a long relationship.

Army has played college football games at Yankee Stadium, in 1982 the Yankees conducted preseason workouts on campus, and the boys in pinstripes played exhibition games at West Point back in the Ruth-Gehrig era, MLB.com reported.
