PHILADELPHIA -

An employee of a Philadelphia Rite Aid refused to give a would be robber any money after police say she recognized the suspect from a previous robbery.

The attempted robbery happened Friday just before 4 p.m. at the Rite Aid on the 2100 block of East Allegheny Avenue.

Police say a man dressed in a black coat and blue jeans entered the store and approached the employee demanding money.

When the man attempted to walk behind the counter, police say the employee recognized him and called 911.

Police say after failing to take any money from the register, the man ran out of the store.
