Back to business as usual for the Washington Capitals and their fans. A large crowd gathered for the first day of training camp at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

The season will be a condensed one with just 48 games for the Caps, but fans say half a season is better than having it canceled altogether. Training camp will last six days with the NHL season beginning on Saturday, Jan. 19.
