PHOENIX (AP) - Metropolitan Phoenix is approaching the halfway point in a 4-day cold snap that's expected to mark the coolest stretch of weather the area has seen since 1988.

The National Weather Service says temperatures on Saturday night dipped to 30 degrees at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and 25 degrees at the Deer Valley Airport.

Low temperatures across Arizona on Saturday night included 23 at Tucson International Airport and 7 below at the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport.

Authorities are telling residents to keep their pets inside and cover any sensitive plants or outdoor plumbing.

Northeastern Arizona may see snow flurries on Sunday night, though there has so far been little precipitation to fuel a snow storm.

The low temperatures are expected to remain much the same Monday and Tuesday at Sky Harbor.
