FAIRFAX, Va. -
Local first responders are working to prepare for the unknown as the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut is still fresh in everyone's mind.
Police, Fire and Rescue crews from Fairfax City and County, and the Sheriff's Department were joined by police from George Mason University for a yearly tactical exercise. It was held at the Patriot Center.
The practice scenario involved a reported shooting with about a dozen 'victims.'
