There's a traffic alert for a part of northeast Atlanta.
Edgewood Avenue between Jackson and Fort Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. now through Monday night. This will allow city crews to work on the Atlanta Streetcar project.
The first phase will connect Centennial Olympic Park to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site.

A judge has sentenced Michael Parson to the maximum of 35 years in jail for the attempted murder of his wife. On Thursday, Parson was convicted of shooting his wife, Adina, eight times in 2012.
