Dr. Giovinco says it's important to not only take your temperature but to write it down with the time you took it.
If you have a child, talk to your pediatrician, as some have a philosophy of not giving a lot of common fever reducers to kids.
You may want to have some acetaminophen or ibuprofen or a combination of both around if you're sick.
For your runny nose:
Dr. Giovinco recommends over the counter antihistamines, such as Benadryl and decongestants such as Sudafed. Remember, some decongestants may keep you awake.
