The search for a new Philadelphia Eagles head coach continued Thursday, as team officials met with former Bears coach Lovie Smith.
FOX 29's Colleen Wolfe reports the decision to interview Smith is an interesting one for the team, as most of the coaching candidates have had an offensive mind. Smith is considered to be a defensive guy.
Smith spent the last nine seasons with the Bears, where he led them to three division titles, posting a 10-6 record with the team this season.
A league source confirms to FOX 29 that the Eagles met with Notre Dame's Brian Kelly Tuesday. Kelly led his team to a perfect 12-0 record this season and brought them to the national title game.
Kelly is the third college coach on the Eagles most wanted list.
