CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The mental health of a child's mother during pregnancy is widely considered a risk factor for a child's emotional health later in life.

But a new study found that the father's mental health during the pregnancy matters too.

Researchers in Norway studied 32,000 children.

They discovered that mental health problems in young kids may be identified early by examining the prenatal mental health of the fathers.

You can learn more about the study in the Journal of Pediatrics.
