15th possible fondling incident investigated in Springfield area

SPRINGFIELD, Va. -

Police are investigating a possible fifteenth incident involving a serial fondler in Springfield.

Officers say the latest incident happened on Thursday, January 3 at around 5:45 p.m.

A 30-year-old woman told police she was jogging in the 4400 block of Briarwood Court near Patriot Drive when a man suddenly approach her from the direction of Ivymount Court

The woman told officers she yelled when the man grabbed her causing him to flee.

Investigators say the suspect was white or Hispanic, between 25 and 30 years old, around 5 feet 7 inches tall. He wore a green fleece jacket, dark pants and dark shoes.

The first reported incidents happend early in September of 2012.
