Ga. insurance companies to offer child-only coverage

Posted: Updated:

Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens has announced insurance companies must now offer "child-only" health coverage.

He says that's important for people who are uninsured, or their plans do not already cover their kids.

It applies to all insurance companies that sell policies in this state.

Open enrollment for the new child-only insurance policies runs through Jan. 31.
