WASHINGTON -
Metro officials say a woman was stabbed in the chest aboard a Metrobus.
It happened about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday in Anacostia in Southeast. A Metro spokeswoman say a passenger told the driver that she had been stabbed. Another woman was struck in the head.
The driver pulled over and called police. Both women were taken to a local hospital.
Metro officials say the assailant fled the bus. Police are reviewing security tapes from the bus camera to try to identify the suspect.
