Teen killed in Queens shooting

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A teen was shot and killed in front of a Queens apartment building early Saturday morning. 

Police say the victim, 17-year-old Xavier Granville, had been hanging out with friends on 249 Beach 15th Street near Heyson Road. Granville was leaving a party when two men in ski masks approached them and began firing into the group around 12:30 a.m. 

Police arrived shortly and found Xavier Granville with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS arrived at the scene and pronounced Granville dead. 

Police say they found both shell casings from an AK-47 and 45-caliber pistol at the scene of the shooting.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
