Rite Aid Robber Arrested

Delaware State Police arrested a woman after she had robbed a Newark Rite Aid.

The robbery happened at 4p.m. Friday when the suspect, Lindsey Dembkowski of Newark, entered the store wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a covering over her face. She took an unknown amount of money after saying she was armed to the cashier.

A customer saw Dembkowski fleeing and took photos of her vehicle with a cell phone. Dembkowski saw the customer taking photos and offered to give the woman some of the stolen money. The customer refused and took a photo of the suspect. Dembkowski tried to take the customers cell phone as well but was unsuccessful.

Dembkowski was later taken into custody by police at her residence without incident. She is First Degree Robbery, Second Degree Attempted Robbery, and Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony.
