CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

An 18-year-old man was shot to death after a dispute with several other males in the Englewood neighborhood late Tuesday.

About 11:30 p.m., the man and several other males were involved in an "altercation" in the 2000 block of West 69th Street, when one of the males pulled out a handgun and shot the man several times in the torso and once in the ear, said police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one was in custody early Wednesday as Area Central detectives investigated.
