WASHINGTON CROSSING, Pa. -

High water conditions along the Delaware River shortened the 60th Annual re-enactment of George Washington's Christmas 1776 crossing Tuesday.

Hundreds gathered in Washington Crossing to watch the re-enactment.

The boat entered the water but was not able to complete the full trip because of the high water levels, officials said.

Boats took soldiers, cannons and horses across the river more than 200 years ago.
