Fundraiser for baby involved in bus shooting - DC Breaking Local News Weather Sports FOX 5 WTTG

Some extra love was shown for a little girl who was shot on a Metro bus earlier in December.

2-year-old Kodie's mother, Selina Brown, died in that shooting on Minnesota Avenue in southeast.

Kodie needs reconstructive surgery, so a few folks got together to organize a fundraiser and a toy drive to make her Christmas happier.

Kodie's grandmother will now raise her.

The organizers wanted to show the family that they didn't have to handle everything alone.
