PHILADELPHIA -

Police in Philadelphia are searching the city for a missing 33-year-old man who was last seen crawling out of a car after a serious crash over the weekend.

David Taundi, 33, was last seen by witnesses Saturday morning after he was involved in a car accident on the 5200 block of Henry Avenue, just west of Philadelphia University.

Investigators believe Taundi may be suffering from his injuries.

Taundi's father, Josiya Taundi, tells FOX 29's Chris O'Connell he's still in a state of denial because he doesn't have the information to piece it all together.

His father says he last saw his son just before he went out to meet friends in Center City Friday.

A friend, Jim Musoke, says it's not like Taundi to disappear.

Taundi lives on the 600 block of Dupont Street and often frequents the Center City area, police said.

Police say they plan to go back out to the crash site Thursday with K-9 units and cadaver dogs.

If you have any information, you're asked to call police at the Northwest Detective Division at: 215-686-3353.
