NORTH PHILADELPHIA -

A minivan barreled through the back door of a North Philadelphia church Monday, just feet away from a group of children.

The accident happened at 20th & Lehigh in the city's Kensington section.

Three children were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital after the driver apparently hit the gas instead of the breaks, investigators said.

According to police, the children suffered cuts and a foot injury.

The accident happened around 1 p.m.
