ATLANTA -

Friday's tragedy was at the forefront of the church services across metro Atlanta on Sunday morning.

Pastors offering up prayers for the victims while trying to console those touched by tragedy.

For many faithful, thoughts turned to the families and children dealing with the devastating loss.

Pastor Kate Floyd at Grace United Methodist Church in Midtown told her congregation that she could not explain why such evil happens.

Archbishop Wilton Gregory at Cathedral of Christ the King told his parishioners that they must pray for the victims.

Holy Innocents Episcopal Church also held a vigil and was open for prayers Sunday night.
