FALLS CHURCH, Va. -

Police have charged 31-year-old Kevin Lee Porter in connection with a November 7 assault at a public library in Falls Church.

The incident happened just before 9:00 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Library. A 17-year-old girl who was leaving the building, ducked into a women's bathroom after noticing a man staring at her.

Detectives say the man, identified as Porter, followed the girl into the bathroom and assaulted her.

Porter, of no fixed address, was charged with abduction on Tuesday, December 11 at his worksite in the 3000 block of Gatehouse Plaza.

He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and is being held without bond.
