The nuns' habits didn't seem to be habitual garb for three young women so Colombian police asked them to step aside when they arrived on the Caribbean island of San Andres on a flight from Bogota. Five teenagers are facing charges they stole and then destroyed a nativity scene from a church in Bedford County.
The Bedford County Sheriff's Office said the five were arrested Tuesday after the 12-piece Christmas scene was reported missing over the weekend from Shiloh United Methodist Church in Forest.
The sheriff's office released a photo of the teens that showed them posing with the figures.
The set had an estimated worth of $2,000 to $2,500.
John Killgo, Scott Cooley, and Matthew Barringer and two juveniles face charges of grand larceny, trespass and property damage.
