Residents, business owners testify at storm hearing in Monmouth County

Members of the New Jersey state Senate held a public meeting Tuesday to hear from local residents and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy.
The meeting was held a school in Highlands, in Monmouth County. That same school was used as a temporary shelter to residents who were displaced by the storm.
Senators with the Budget and Appropriations Committee listened to residents in this fourth such hearing. The prior three hearings featured testimony from public officials, utility company representatives, and first responders.
