Maryland State Police say they are looking for a driver involved in fatal hit-and-run accident.
Police say 50-year-old Wilmer Borgmann III of Millersville was ejected from a vehicle on Interstate 97 early Tuesday. Borgmann was apparently standing up when he was struck by another vehicle that did not stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred about 3:15 a.m.
State police say the man was ejected along with the driver when the truck they were in hit the median and overturned. The driver, 31-year-old Scott Olczak of Pasadena, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Troopers say the vehicle that struck Borgmann has extensive front end damage, most likely to the hood and windshield. The vehicle is missing a windshield wiper.
