WJBK Detroit -

Contractor Kathleen McCann says she always believed the day would come when she would have to tell the story of her company's troubled relationship with Bobby Ferguson.

Friday was that day, but first, jurors heard more from her former boss.

Tony Soave made quite an impression during his three days on the witness stand, his appearances during the racketeering or RICO case even prompted the Drew & Mike show to change the lyrics to the song "Rico Suave" to Tony Soave.

Defense attorneys are probably glad to see him move on after he testified that only some of the flights Kwame Kilpatrick took on his private plane were legitimate.

Still, Ferguson's attorney  Mike Rataj said Kilpatrick never extorted Soave.  "I don't think there was evidence he put a gun to his head," says Rataj.

The testimony of former Soave Enterprises executive Kathleen McCann may have done the most damage on Friday.  She testified that Ferguson was so hard to work with that her employees took notes on their troubles.  She told the court quote "we had a sense that someday we were going to be telling this story and thought it made sense to document this."

Ferguson attorney Gerald Evelyn says there's another side to the story and that you "gotta wait til the whole story's told."

While jurors heard plenty about Kilpatrick's high living on Tony Soave's money, Rataj says "that's not corruption, that's just being a good pal."
