Car slams into McDonald's restaurant in Adams Morgan

WASHINGTON -

A car has slammed into a McDonald's restaurant in Adams Morgan Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Columbia Road and 18th Street.

Three people were inside the restaurant at the time and a female customer was hit.

The driver was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police say it is unclear why the driver lost control.
