Overturned tractor trailer carrying pineapples causes beltway de - DC Breaking Local News Weather Sports FOX 5 WTTG

An accident involving a tractor trailer carrying a load of pineapples caused delays along the Capital Beltway Thursday morning.

The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on the outer loop of Interstate 495 at the split with Interstate 270.

Crews on the scene will unload the pineapples. At least one lane is expected to be closed through rush hour.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
