GIBBSTOWN, N.J. -
Paulsboro residents impacted by the train derailment demanded answers Wednesday night during an information meeting at Nehaunsey Middle School in Gibbstown.
Residents had the opportunity to go to different tables to ask questions to different agencies handling the fallout from Friday morning's train derailment.
Emergency officials started the meeting with a brief update to tell residents that they are constantly monitoring the air and water in Mantua Creek.
Officials say there will be some effects from Friday's leak, such as coughing, slight respiratory illness and nausea, but none of it will be long-term.
FOX 29's Shawnette Wilson reports residents grew frustrated when the mic system had problems and remarks were cut short.
After 90 minutes, some residents tell FOX 29 they left with the same uneasy feeling.
Officials say they are waiting for levels of vinyl chloride to drop to zeio before they allow residents to return home.
The current evacuation order still remains in effect through Sunday.
