PHILADELPHIA -

A pizza delivery man was rushed to Temple Hospital Wednesday night in critical condition after police say he was hit by a car.

Police are now searching for the driver.

The accident happened at the intersection of Whitaker and Wyoming streets around 4:45 p.m.

Investigators say the man had just left store and was putting items in his car when he was struck. Police are using surveillance video from a camera that captured the incident as they investigate the case.

Police say the man suffered severe head trauma and internal injuries.

Police are now searching for a black four-door Lincoln in connection with the crash.

Surveillance video sent to FOX 29 shows the driver as he's struck by the car. It's not clear yet if the driver ran a red light or had the green light, police said.
