It's Washington DC's version of the Academy Awards. The Kennedy Center Honors paid tribute Sunday to seven legends from the world of movies, music, and dance.
This year's honorees were Dustin Hoffman, Chicago bluesman Buddy Guy, television host David Letterman, Ballerina Natalia Makarova, and the rock band Led Zeppelin. John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant were all in attendance.
The President and Mrs. Obama spent much of the evening with the honorees and those who nominated them.
Saturday night, they were honored at a State Department Dinner. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and President Bill Clinton were both on hand for the event.
The program will air December 28th.
