WASHINGTON, DC -

A Southeast D.C. neighborhood is on edge tonight, as police investigate the shooting of a 4 year old child and a 30 year old man. It happened Saturday around 8 p.m. along the 1200 Block of Savannah Place.

Police say one of the shots fired hit the man in the leg. Another went through the front door of an apartment and hit the little boy, who was inside. He suffered a gunshot wound to the hand. Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Some neighbors say they heard arguing outside of the home before the shots were fired, but police have not released any information on a motive or suspect.
