SILVER SPRING, Md. -

Montgomery County Police need your help to find a robbery suspect who abducted a man from the Leisure World parking lot on Thanksgiving eve.

The 20-year-old victim was sitting in his car eating some fast food when a man asks for directions to the Glenmont Metro station. The suspect then sticks a handgun in the victim's face and gets in his vehicle.

"He ordered the victim to drive to several ATMs in an attempt to withdraw money," says Officer Janelle Smith. "Each attempt was unsuccessful."

So the frustrated suspect forces the victim to pull over in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center.

"Before the suspect left, he stole the victim's credit card, keys and iPhone," Smith says.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect walking into the CVS store in the 12200 block of Veirs Mill Road later that night.

Detectives say he is still wearing the same clothes from the robbery earlier that evening: a dark jacket and jeans and some of type of mask that covers much of his face.

"We're hoping someone will recognize him, the way he walks, his motions, anything that helps us identify him," says Smith.

If you recognize the robbery suspect, Fourth District Police would like to hear from you. Their number is 240-773-5530.

Crime Solvers is also offering a $1,000 reward for information that helps police catch him. That number is 1-866-411-TIPS.
