The man accused in the death of a 10-month-old baby and her grandmother will stand trial on murder and kidnapping charges.
Raghunandan Yandamuri, 26, appeared in court Wednesday.
During the court appearance, prosecutors played a video taped statement, in which Yandamuri was heard saying he never meant to kill anyone. In the video, he continued to say he just wanted to kidnap 10-month-old Saanvi Venna for ransom.
Yandamuri said in the video things got out of control, leading to the two deaths.
Montgomery County Prosecutors say they may seek the death penalty in this case.
