Mother Shot Dead In Front Of Children, Police Say

A mother was gunned down in front of her two young kids Tuesday night in North Philadelphia, police say.

It happened inside a home on the 3500 block of Old York Road around 11:30 p.m.

Police found the 27-year-old's body in an upstairs bedroom.

The children, ages 3 and 6, were taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Police said Wednesday afternoon that the victim's boyfriend is being sought for questioning as a person of interest.
