WASHINGTON -

The Washington Humane Society is seeking the public's help for information about two dogs found abandoned inside a trash can Sunday in Southeast D.C.

WHS says a paralyzed adult, female, dark brown brindle dog and a deceased adult, female tan brindle dog were found in an alley behind the 3900 block of R and S Streets.

The paralyzed dog was unable to be saved and was euthanized.

The deceased dog had a swollen front right leg with what appears to be bite marks and a crescent moon-shaped scar on her rear right outer thigh.

WHS is offering a $2,000 reward that will be given to any person who provides such information leading to an arrest.

If you have any information about this case, please contact Officer Russell at 202-723-5730, ext.132 or arussell@washhumane.org.
