Richmond's City Council has approved a deal that will bring the Washington Redskins' training camp to Virginia's capital.
Media outlets report that Monday night's unanimous vote followed negotiations over the weekend. City officials revised the deal to address concerns about leasing a school property to Bon Secours Health Systems.
Bon Secours wants to build a hospital expansion on the school property. In exchange, the health care system will build and sponsor a training camp facility for the Redskins on state property behind the Science Museum of Virginia.
Under the revised deal, Bon Secours will commit $100,000 a year for school projects for 10 years and pay more for the lease.
