A new Georgia law allowed liquor stores to open their doors on Thanksgiving Day for the first time.
According to the Macon Telegraph, the state Department of Revenue revised regulations last February after a major push by the Georgia Alcohol Dealers Association.
The change also allows stores to open on Christmas.
